What's New?
 
Participation in youth sports has accelerated by 50% across North America over the past decade.  According to the Wall Street Journal, American's spent over $4 billion on personal training and coaching in 2000 and by 2007, the numbers had reached $9 billion and still gaining momentum.  In 2004, Canadian household spending on sport was $15.8 billion, or over 2% of total household spending.  At HPI, we are at the forefront of today's top training programming for young athletes and children.  Utilizing educated and experienced professionals we offer programs for movement patterns and plyometrics, functional training, "core" training, power lifting, strongman, and personal training. 
 
With physical eduction requirements in the school system dramatically decreasing and being taught by unspecialized teachers, youth obesity has sky-rocketed to one-third of the population!  Incidentally, according to studies performed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2006, and prior, the U.S. has the most obesity in the world with Canada a close second.  This is not something to be proud of.  Parents are looking for resources to keep their kids on track.  At HPI, we are positioned to fill this gap and realize the severity and necessity of the situation.
 
Adults and parents are also realizing the benefit of this type of training and are jumping aboard.  As new health clubs continue to compete for a diminishing number of adult clients, the demand for specialized sport conditioning continues to accelerate.  As a side note, health clubs have age restrictions and very few youth programs available.  At HPI we meet the demands of today's clients for a more functional, athletic, movement-based style of training.  We reach their human potential.  We offer programs for all age groups and from novice to professional athletes.
